Hi, I’m Dr. Avula. I grew up in the Central Valley of California and now live in the Bay Area with my husband and our two young children. I knew as early as high school that I wanted to become a dentist. I completed both my undergraduate and dental education through an accelerated honors program at the University of the Pacific, earning my DDS from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2001. I then completed my specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York in 2004.

Since then, I’ve been in private practice and also serve as a part-time faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Dugoni School. While I was originally drawn to dentistry for its ability to help people, what I love most is working with children and how each day brings something new and rewarding.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.
