I grew up here in the Bay Area, attended college at UC Davis, and went on to obtain my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was in the city of brotherly love where my passion to work with children was born and I went on to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at UCLA.

Dr. Shilpa Avula knew from high school that she wanted to be a dentist. Entering the University of the Pacific in 1996, she was enrolled in an honors program that accelerated her through both undergraduate and graduate studies to receive her D.D.S. degree in just five years from Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP).
